"Best Donuts In Greater Cleveland"
June 20, 2023 – cleveland.com
BRUNSWICK, Oh— To say donuts are having a renaissance is something of an understatement. It’s also a bit of a gourmand knock on those old-school shops that stay open 24 hours—where the coffee and donuts are always hot and the classic checkerboard-and-red décor is always cool.

BRUNSWICK — Donut Land intends to keep the heart of its mom-and-pop doughnut shop while relocating to a larger location in Brunswick later this year.
Owner Amanda Rienerth said Donut Land was started by her grandfather, “Mr. Bill”, in 1972. The building at 1321 Pearl Road was originally about half its current size and was doubled after about five years of business.
“People told him don’t open a doughnut shop in Brunswick back then because he wasn’t going to make it,” she said. “We’ve been in business for 54 years.”

BRUNSWICK – When Bill Rienerth first opened Donut Land in Brunswick in 1972, many people told him it wasn’t a wise decision.
“A lot of people told him he wouldn’t be able to successfully run a donut shop in such a small spot and a small town like Brunswick,” Rienerth’s granddaughter, Amanda said. “He had recently moved out here to Brunswick from Cleveland. At that time, Center Road was just a two-lane road covered with trees.”

BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Business growth is about more than economic success. It’s also about making a connection with a community that goes far beyond the product being sold.
When that product happens to be donuts, the memories made are all the more delicious.
“This is a success story built right here in our community,” Debbie Boehmke, executive director of the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance, said at the grand reopening of Donut Land June 19.
“In a time when businesses are leaving, Amanda and her family decided to do the opposite,” Boehmke said.
